BREDA – Consequent upon the arrival in Breda of the new Dutch Top Institute for transport and logistics, the city has landed its first big fish. During a meeting at the Royal Dutch Military Academy last night, alderman Mrs Els Aarts (Economic Affairs) put her signature to a contract sealing the establishment of a logistic Experience Centre. It is meant to be fully operational in 2011. “LogiXperience”, an initiative of AiDC consultancy agency and the Brabant Development Company, will resemble a showroom and laboratory where companies and institutes can present their inventions and discoveries in the field of logistic science.

Water and logistics central issues in trade contacts The trade mission from South-West Netherlands has successfully rounded off its visit to China. Contacts and cooperation have been further intensified. Entrepreneurs take a positive look back on the trade contacts leading to concrete short-term and long-term results. Since authorities, education and water management were all represented, doors were opened to enter into successful trade contacts. According to Chinese partners as well as delegation members from South-West Netherlands, water and logistics are themes nuclear to a further cooperation. This is especially so because both play an important role in present developments in China and both link up with what South-West Netherlands has to offer.
